What you don’t know about fat could kill you

We all know that high amount of fat in our body increases the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and heart attack. But there are many other important reasons-that not a lot of people know about- to get rid of that extra fat:
- Fat doesn’t just store energy, it stores toxins which affect the overall health of the body.
- A high fat percentage affects overall brain health and has been linked to higher risk of dementia and Alzeihmer.
- When a person’s body fat content is high, the fat tissue "behaves" like a gland that compromises the hormonal balance of the body.
- There are two stages of gaining fat: in the beginning fat cells grow in size; once they've reached their maximum size, the body produces more fat cells which will be there permanently. Once our body develops those extra fat cells, we we'll need to make extra efforts to keep the fat off.

These are just some of the reasons to keep our body in good shape. It's as easy as doing weight training, cardio, eating healthy food and sleeping 7-8 hours a night.
